Drawing as Thinking – Symposium 20 April 2018

Those interested in finding out why comic artists refer to drawing as thinking would best hear the answers from the artists themselves. Our guests share their take on the craft: how they acquire knowledge through commandeering imitation, abstraction, isolation, fusion and alienation. They cast light on their technical understanding of the art and reveal how they hold their own despite admiration of their idols.

Moderation: Lars von Törne (DE), journalist
Introduction: Pierre Thomé (CH), head of illustration, Lucerne University – School for Art and Design / Hochschule Luzern – Design & Kunst
